This validation pop ups to the Dealer User at the time of new Vehicle inward document creation or while creating new Service estimate or new Service Appointment in DMS lite.










Resolution : DMS will be giving this kind of validation, if registration number is not available in Code field of VIN Details.

Step 1 :

Navigation : Administration >>> Management >>> VIN Details 



Step 2 :

Open VIN Details page for the selected vehicle during document creation.



Step 3 :

As we can see in the above image Customer code is updated in the field of Code, User need to correct this detail.  This detail can be edited manually and user need to enter Registration number in the Code field as shown in the below snap.



Once details corrected, DMS will allow user to open new document for this vehicle.
